First potato sprouts, offline mornings, and a generator that better arrive Tuesday.
- Woke up around 8am after a pretty rough night. Slow start to the day.
- Tea: Calm & Clear + Memory & Focus
- Podcasts: Reuters, BBC (catching up on yesterday’s news), We Are Dubstep (Ep. 9), The Moth
- Concern: Cloudy days are messing with my solar input.
- Thought: I’m actually enjoying not having internet until mid-morning. It gives me a gentler, more graceful start. I can get a signal if I move to a certain spot on the land, but it’s not ideal — and honestly, it stops me doom scrolling.
- Started setting up my May Bullet Journal — no major changes from last month.
- Garden : First signs of the potatoes!
- Did some generator research — finally think I’ve found the right one!
- This is the one I have ordered (Non Affiliate link)
It’s supposed to arrive Tuesday. Fingers crossed. Also ordered a cover for it to deter the paper wasps — hopefully! Big hit to my budget though… Ramen for the next 3 months! - Watching: Time Traveller’s Guide to Elizabethan Times – S1, Ep1 (they mentioned my hometown — yay!)
- Project: Orange granny squares
- Eating: Does string cheese count?
- Still monitoring the 5th Wheel’s solar setup. Something still feels “off” but I can’t quite pinpoint it.
- Water use is up thanks to the garden.
Pressure’s on to get the well sorted. I’ve got backup water until mid/late May — but I’d feel better getting the permanent setup running soon.
