Card of the Day: Page of Wands

The tarot card, The Page of Wands
Deck: Everyday Witch

The Explorer ~ The part of you that’s lit up by new possibilities and follows curiosity without needing guarantees, that’s willing to be a beginner again.

Keywords:

Enthusiasm • Discovery • Potential

Individual Card Meaning

The Page of Wands is the moment you feel genuinely excited about something new and you have to decide if you’re going to follow that spark or dismiss it because you don’t know where it leads. It’s fresh enthusiasm and curious exploration, the willingness to be interested in something without needing it to be your entire life plan.

This card points toward the part of you that’s lit up by possibility, that’s willing to be a beginner and try something just to see what happens. It’s about recognizing that curiosity is how new things start, that you don’t have to know where something’s going before you can explore it.

The Page of Wands asks you to look at what’s sparking your interest and whether you’re giving yourself permission to follow it or dismissing it because it’s not immediately serious.

Connection to Previous Cards:

After the High Priestess yesterday about trusting deep intuition, the Page of Wands feels like that intuition manifesting as excited curiosity, I sensed something and now I’m energized to explore it. Yesterday was internal knowing; today is external action based on that knowing. There’s beautiful flow here from inner wisdom to outward exploration.

Before that, the King of Wands on February 26th was about mastered visionary leadership. Now the Page shows me returning to beginner energy, after all that authority, I’m willing to not know, to explore, to be curious again. The progression feels like moving from mastery back to exploration, from having answers to having questions, from leading to discovering.

Shadow-Side

The shadow of the Page of Wands is using curiosity to avoid commitment. Watch for chasing every shiny possibility without ever developing any of them, or treating exploration as more important than follow-through. This energy can confuse genuine interest with distraction, abandoning things once they require actual work instead of just initial excitement. You might notice yourself starting multiple things without finishing any of them, or using “I’m just exploring” as an excuse to never commit to anything deeply.

Another pattern is treating every spark like it has to become your life’s work, if you’re interested, you must quit everything else and pursue it completely. Sometimes exploration is just exploration, not a new identity.

Guiding Incantation:

I follow sparks that light my way
I explore what calls today
I need no plan, I start anew
I trust my curiosity is true
