Vodka, Therapy, and Well Wishes

Today started with therapy at 9am. Which meant a 6am scramble to gather enough water for a shower and to wash my hair. Normally I don’t care if I’m a sweaty hobgoblin while I’m working solo, but showing up to therapy that way feels unfair to everyone involved.

Afterwards, I headed into town for a long-overdue stock-up run – groceries, home supplies, mulch, soil, propane, gas… and yes, 10 bottles of vodka. (Don’t judge, I make herbal infusions in bulk!)

Back at home, I set up the shade shelter and pitched the inner tent. It’s now my chill-out zone when I’m gross and can’t shower. I’ve got old sheets over the inflatable sofa and  blow-up mattress, a battery-powered fan, and just enough airflow to not feel like I’m melting.

But the best part of today? I got a bit of hopeful news. The guy who’s going to help me get my well running is planning to come on Saturday! It’s not instant, I’ll need to flush the well for a full day, and get pipes set up, but it’s the start of having my own water source. That feels huge.

I’m trying not to get my hopes too high (past experience and all that), but still… fingers crossed. I really, really need this win.
